Top Financial Services firm in Syosset, NY is seeking an Accounting Specialist that will provide general accounting processes for our clients. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations for general ledger suspense accounts and various reporting activities.
The ideal candidate has 1 years of experience in credit, accounting, bookkeeping, and or accounts payable within a financial services.
The company is looking to pay up to $25 / hr.

Responsibilities include :
- Journalizes the general ledger accounts on a daily basis
- Ensures that the settlement screens are balanced on a daily basis
- Accurately reconciles clients' General Ledgers
- Analyzes reconciliation figures for discrepancies
- Ability to participate in client calls and discuss all reconciliation records effectively
- Provides clients with report data for their approval
- Updates manager on workload status and any unusual developments
- Interacts with clients, client liaisons, and other departments as needed
