Commercial Counsel

New in-house Commercial Counsel Attorney role with a highly-reputable client offering a career growth opportunity. It is transactional within insurance on the commercial side. MUST have commercial insurance industry experience AND reinsurance experience.

Responsibilities:

• Advising on issues pertaining to commercial insurance, including contract construction, program structure, collateral requirements, and coverage
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad array of contracts and representing the Company’s interests in insurance-related negotiations and transactions
• Providing legal advice on all aspects of insurance laws and regulations

Required Skills:

• Licensed in any of the 50 states
• Minimum five years of experience in a sophisticated legal practice; in-house experience preferred but not required. Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Commercial insurance and reinsurance experience
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
• Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
