Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update electronic and paper-based medical records accurately and efficiently.
Retrieve, file, and organize patient records to ensure accessibility for healthcare providers.
Process and respond to requests for medical records from patients, healthcare professionals, and third parties while ensuring compliance with legal and facility guidelines.
Verify patient information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Assist with scanning, indexing, and archiving medical documents.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements to protect patient confidentiality.
Support quality control initiatives by auditing records for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the release of information (ROI) requests while following appropriate authorization procedures.
Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless record-keeping and information-sharing.
Handle clerical duties such as data entry, faxing, and mailing medical documents as required.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
