Production Supervisor
Summary: The Production Supervisor is the frontline manager responsible for coordinating the workflow of the production floor. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient work methods while collaborating with employees to increase productivity while continuing to maintain a high level of quality and a strong safety record. As a Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing or production facility. Your role involves managing a team, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:
- Responsible for executing the established production schedule utilizing production employees.
- Consistently e-mail status updates and escalations as needed to the team that will drive actions from other departments.
- Review and approve timecards
- Complete Product Quality Audits
- Review and Enter production data using MRP system
- Complete FAI’s as needed when Quality Technician is not available to ensure we are running quality products upon startup.
- Perform and document inventory cycle counts as needed using the Cycle Count Smartsheet.
- Evaluate production employees and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and training.
- Perform a shift handoff with incoming supervisor to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to the next.
- Adhere to and enforce all Company Rules and Regulations.
- Supervise and lead a team of production workers, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and adherence to production schedules.
- Collaborate with production planners to establish daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure that products meet specifications. Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues.
- Perform and document Plant Safety Audits.
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are appropriately managed to meet production requirements.
Qualification Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Proven experience as Shift Supervisor. 3-5 years’ experience in leading and managing production workers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,064.00 - $65,000.00 per year
