PC Support Technician

Job Title: PC Support Technician
Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance and Support:
• Manage, monitor, and maintain information systems, networks, hardware, and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform system updates and patches to ensure security and functionality.
• User Support and Training:
• Provide technical support and resolve helpdesk requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct training sessions to improve user understanding of software and systems.
• Monitor network security and implement firewalls to protect systems from threats.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure systems comply with security protocols, privacy regulations, and industry standards.
• Implement data protection policies and prepare for cybersecurity threats.
• IT Projects and Collaboration:
• Assist with IT projects like system upgrades and technology rollouts.
• Collaborate with departments to address technological needs and enhance productivity.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain records of system configurations, IT assets, and software licenses.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or information systems management.
• Proficient in managing operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and related software.
• Experience in network administration and system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of information security principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud computing platforms.
• Certifications like CompTIA A , Network , or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with database management and SQL.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, on-site role at The Baddour Center in Senatobia, Mississippi.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required for system maintenance or urgent issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
