Located in the village of Trempealeau, Wisconsin, Hawkeye Forest Products specializes in the production of green and kiln dried Walnut lumber. We utilize a modern sawmill and drying facility, producing high quality lumber, timbers and other proprietary and custom products.

The primary function of this position is to assist with the incoming and outgoing flow of hardwood logs at our log yard. Duties will include log sorting, scaling, and decking of log utilizing front-end loader and knuckle boom.

General Job Description:
The primary function of this position is to assist with the incoming and outgoing flow of hardwood logs at our log yard. Duties will include log sorting, scaling, and decking of log utilizing front-end loader and knuckle boom.
Specific Requirements: (including but not limited to)
- Receiving and scaling incoming logs for species, grades and sorts per company guidelines.
- Operate handheld data collectors to input species, grades and sorts.
- Chainsaw operation as needed.
- Adherence to facility safety policies.
- Experience operating front-end loader and/or knuckle boom preferred
- A degree from a two year technical program or 4 year undergraduate program in a forest products related filed will be considered as a substitute for field experience.
- Would be willing to train the right candidate.
