HMI Hardwoods is looking to hire a Production Supervisor. This role will be responsible for leading our dry process team in producing lumber needed for the current sales plan while maintaining defined quality standards.

HMI Hardwoods is looking to hire a Production Supervisor. This role will be responsible for leading our dry process team in producing lumber needed for the current sales plan while maintaining defined quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee production operations on assigned shift.
- Prepare work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Ensure that products are identified, sized, and warehoused correctly.
- Communicate daily with all support departments
- Troubleshoot issues that arise.
- Notify maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure paperwork is completed accurately
- 3 years of related management work experience desired in secondary lumber manufacturing.
- Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, and excellent supervisory and leadership skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements is preferred.
- Ability to manage/resolve conflict is essential.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bi-lingual a plus.
