Description : Job Summary :
The Vice President of Facilities is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of capital improvement projects, facility renovations, and maintenance operations. This role ensures that facilities align with organizational needs, safety regulations, and long-term strategic goals. The VP provides leadership in planning, budgeting, and executing construction and renovation projects while managing facilities to ensure operational efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a remote role, preferably in the Florida market.

Key Responsibilities :
1 . Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and implement long-term capital improvement and renovation strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to assess facility needs and create investment plans for future growth.
2. Project Management & Execution
Oversee all phases of capital projects, from feasibility studies and design to construction and completion.Manage vendor and contractor selection, negotiations, and performance to ensure project success.Monitor budgets, schedules, and project milestones, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.Implement quality control and risk management strategies to mitigate project disruptions.3 . Facilities Operations & Maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and daily operations of all facilities, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.Develop policies and procedures for facility management, safety, and emergency preparedness.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.Optimize energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and cost-effective facility improvements.Review reports monthly in a property software system that covers Asset Tracking, Make Ready Detail Analysis, Maintenance Summary, Work Order Detail Summary, Availability, and Income statement Budget vs. Actual (P&L)Overseeing recruitment, training, development and motivation of onsite teamsAssist in all Takeovers and Dispositions of propertiesSet standards and walk units upon delivery from Construction to ManagementSupervise overall maintenance operations to optimize portfolio performance and achieve company goals. Ensure all work orders are completed within 24 hours, and all standard apartment turns are completed within five business days while meeting the 75% Make-Ready percentage standard.Ensure & confirm each site is completing the Personal Property Inventory quarterly.Assist in the development of a successful implementation of annual operation and capital improvement budgetsMeet or exceed budgeted NOI through the implementation of adequate cost controls.Vendor and contract managementAssist in the development and adherence to policies and proceduresVerify that all service team members have completed the required Gracehill courses by the dates outlined set forth by Bainbridge.Complete all additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as determined by your supervisor or the Company.4. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
Develop and manage capital project and facilities budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and resource allocation.Secure funding for capital improvements, working with finance teams and external stakeholders.Monitor expenditures and financial performance of projects, adjusting strategies as necessary.5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, external contractors, architects, and government agencies.Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to executive leadership and key stakeholders.Foster strong relationships with community partners, donors, and funding agencies when applicable.Qualifications & Experience :
College Degree preferred.10 years of Multifamily / Facilities maintenance experience including leadership experience.Strong knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, sustainability practices, and safety compliance.Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale renovation and capital projects from inception to completion.Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to problem-solve, make data-driven decisions, and adapt to a dynamic environment.Learning and DevelopmentCommit to ongoing professional development and career growth with Bainbridge's.
