Assistant Teacher/Floater

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. As an Assistant Teacher, you will support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of daily lesson plans that promote literacy education and childhood development.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing environment for preschool and toddler care.
• Help supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adapt lessons as needed.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community.
• Participate in behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among students.
• Assist in maintaining classroom materials and resources, ensuring they are age-appropriate and accessible.

Skills

• Knowledge of State Regulations.
• Experience working in a preschool or a childcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting positive social interactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and families.
• Understanding of childhood development milestones and needs.
• Experience or interest in toddler care is a plus.

Pay: $17.73 - $18.18 per hour
