Apprentice ProtoTRAK Lathe Machinist
The Apprentice is responsible for turning cylindrical tooling on lathes as well as machining features using mills. The Apprentice will shadow a veteran manual machinist and gain expert training on manual machining methods. This position frequently uses manual machining methods in additional to CNC operations. The ideal candidate should be able to independently solve the set up and order of operations for complex one-off parts.
Experience Level:
- Previous ProtoTRAK lathe machining experience preferred
- Experience working from schematics and engineering design drawings is preferred
- Experience operating a wide variety of metalworking tools and machines is preferred
- Experience using calibrated measurement tools is preferred
- Ability to hold very tight tolerances is preferred
- Ability to hold very tight concentricity is preferred

Compensation
