The Director, Risk Mitigation Services will drive organic growth and client retention through the execution of our Holistic value proposition. This role will build and lead a team of Safety and Claims professionals who deliver indispensable, tailored safety and claims management insights and solutions to ensure our clients have the peace of mind to pursue their dreams, purpose, and passions. In addition, this role will provide input into the Firm’s strategic and tactical goals with regards to safety and claims management strategies and initiatives. They will be considered an expert in leading and developing diverse teams that build and maintain strong internal and external relationships that foster colleague and client retention as well as organic growth. This role will be extremely knowledgeable in Risk Mitigation techniques and strategies (claims, loss control, safety, etc.) and possess outstanding client service and relationship skills

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages deployment of claims and loss control resources that drive Organic Growth and Retention within the Region (30%)
- Leads and develops colleagues and direct reports (8-12 colleagues or more) with the goal of creating a best-in-class Team that has high morale, lives our core values (Azimuth), and builds exceptional relationships with clients (30%)
- Conducts on site consultative visits and presentations with clients (both existing and prospective), business partners, and insurance company representatives to discuss claims and risk management practices appropriate to the client’s culture and capabilities (30%)
- Manages a book of clients in their area of expertise, directly delivering risk mitigation consultation with the goal of reducing clients’ overall cost of risk (10%)

- Risk Mitigation Manager - 1 Direct Report
- Risk Engineer (3 indirect reports)
- Claims Analyst (1 indirect report)
- Minimum: Undergraduate/Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum: 7 years’ experience
- Preferred: 10 years’ experience
- No license required
- Preferred: ARM, AIC, CWC, CSP, ASP, CPCU, COSS, COSM, OHST, CHST
- Knowledge of Loss Control and Safety Techniques, etc. (e.g. OSHA, DOT, Behavior-Based Safety and/or Claims Knowledge in Workers Compensation, Property, GL, Auto, D&O, Mgt Liability, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance policies and related contracts, specifically for commercial insurance is a plus
- Ability to analyze trends, determine courses of actions, and present solutions
- Strong leadership skills including Motivation, Development, Communication, Expectation Setting, Accountability, etc.
- Self-starting and resourceful with an ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates the organization’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture
- Ability to quickly learn and use job specific programs such as EPIC, Carrier Websites, Zywave, Origami
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to learn any other appropriate program or software system used by the firm as necessary
- Up to 50% travel may be required
