We are seeking a seasoned and knowledgeable National Voluntary Benefits Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate is an expert in voluntary and worksite benefits, skilled in assessing and delivering strategic direction concerning products such as cancer, critical illness, GAP plans, and other voluntary benefits program offerings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction and expert advice regarding voluntary benefits to sales and service colleagues.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with carriers and vendors related to voluntary/worksite programs.
- Understand, interpret, and educate team and clients about complex contract terms, and differences between various voluntary benefit programs.
- Design, manage, evaluate and promote a portfolio of voluntary benefit offerings, including but not limited to cancer, critical illness and GAP plans.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align our benefits strategy with the holistic needs of clients.
- Monitor industry trends to ensure our voluntary benefits offerings are competitive and meet the needs of diverse client workforces.
- Represent the company in negotiations regarding contractual terms and conditions for voluntary benefits.
- Mentor, guide and train members of the team in the nuances of various voluntary benefit plans.
- Proven experience in strategy development and implementation.
- Excellent understanding of complex contract terms pertaining to voluntary benefits.
- Demonstrated success negotiating advantageous terms with carriers and vendors.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Bachelors Degree in Insurance, or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years in health and benefits, with significant experience in voluntary/worksite benefit plans.
- Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment required
- Fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Some travel may be required.
- Position is hybrid in Tampa, Florida
