Position – Floating Teller

JOB SUMMARY
The Bank of Charlotte County is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Floating Teller. Floating Tellers work across all branch locations and are responsible for standard banking functions such as checking, savings transactions, cash receipts, and payment services. Specialized functions, such as training, vault responsibilities, and opening accounts may also be required. Floating Tellers serve a vital customer-facing role and are responsible for additional banking services, such as answering questions, assisting customers, branch clerical duties, and promotion of banking services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Remains knowledgeable and proficient regarding the teller processing software.
- Maintains accurate records of all moneys involved in transactions, as required by regulation and/or internal procedures.
- Serves as a resource to customers.
- Stays abreast of recent software changes and associated regulatory pronouncements.
- Controls vault cash and maintains proper cash levels within prescribed limits.
- Handles incoming and outgoing cash shipments.
- Operates various machines, including coin counting and ATM.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer records and regulatory filings.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Bank of Charlotte County products, services, procedures, policies, and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job functions.
- Noise level is generally moderate.
- Must be able to drive and possess a current driver’s license.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Self-development: pursues additional education to improve knowledge as it relates to the position, compliance, and the Bank in general. Acceptable sources of continuing training and education are seminars, Industry conferences, approved e-learning courses, in-house programs, or selected vendor programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft office products – Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to master job specific software and hardware components.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.
- Ability to read, interpret and simplify technical information; able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels; able to act independently, be persuasive and team oriented.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Banking experience preferred, but not required.
