About this job:

The Customer Relationship Expert (CRE) has a broad range of responsibilities in the bank that play a vital role in our customers’ experience. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities of a Customer Relationship Assistant (CRA) and Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS), the CRE will focus on handling teller transactions, opening accounts, originating consumer loans through the use of loan decisioning software and informing customers of other products and services that best meet their needs. CREs build relationships with customers based on trust and actively develop new business by recommending financial solutions and directing them to the products that meet their unique goals.

As a Customer Relationship Expert, you will:

  • Cultivate, strengthen and maintain relationships with our customers.
  • Act as a financial partner by servicing the customer’s needs, understanding how they bank, and recognizing opportunities.
  • Actively seek business development opportunities by generating referrals to originate new business and achieve branch sales goals.
  • Act as an ambassador for the bank in the community to increase bank visibility and develop business opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive and professional manner in everyday interactions (with co-workers and customers).
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration to build relationships with coworkers and across all business lines.
  • Assist customer inquiries and requests regarding current accounts and provide solutions relating to loan products and services offered.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the products and services we have to offer including the ability to assist the treasury specialist with the transactions and necessary documentation requirements.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge to comply with all federal and state consumer lending laws and regulations necessary to perform job duties.
  • Perform a wide range of services including deposit account opening, servicing and maintenance accounts, account closings, retail lending and daily customer transactions to ensure that applicable regulations, disclosures, policies and procedures are followed.
  • Comply with all internal security procedures and policies including protection of customer information while adhering to all confidentiality procedures.
  • Understand loan decisioning software and maintain the knowledge to comply with all processes to ensure tasks have been completed in a timely manner and loans disbursed accurately.
  • Ensure loan applications are correct by interviewing applicants and collecting information such as credit reports, reference checks, and appropriate credit documentation.
  • Complete required training in a timely manner and take initiative to learn and grow professionally.

 

Qualifications for Success:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of 1 year of banking experience.
