Job Summary
The Weekend RN works every other Saturday and Sunday from 6:00AM to 6:30PM and gets paid for 32 hours. They are the supervisor for all of the Nursing Team which includes CNA's and CMT's and are also the charge nurse. This is a part time position, but can possibly transition into full time.
Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley is a CCRC providing Independent Living, Assisted Living and Long-Term Care and is Medicaid certified, we are currently not a SNF.
We are owned by the Missouri Baptist Convention and have been in Ironton, MO since 1913. We take pride in the care we provide to our neighbors that reside here and want them to have quality, Christ Centered Care at all times. We staff at a high level and strive to always have plenty of supplies on hand for our team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities and ensure effective communication among team members.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide support and guidance in the care of patients, all of whom are geriatric.
- Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and staff performance.
- Document in the EHR system.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing management principles and practices
- Proficiency in medication administration and experience administering injections.
- Ability to provide care for geriatric patients.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and families.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with working with the elderly and those with Alzheimer's or Dementia.
