Barber/Hairstylist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in barbering techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services while creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients. Your expertise in barbering and retail sales will help enhance the overall client experience.

Duties

• Perform haircuts, shaves, and grooming services tailored to individual client needs.
• Sanitate all tools and workstations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide consultations to clients regarding styles, products, and services.
• Utilize knowledge of color theory to offer hair coloring services when requested.
• Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided.
• Upsell additional services to enhance the client experience and increase salon revenue.
• Mentor junior barbers or apprentices by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Assist in store management tasks as needed, including inventory management and maintaining supplies.

Skills

• Proficient in barbering techniques with a strong understanding of cosmetology principles.
• Knowledge of retail math to effectively manage sales transactions.
• Experience in retail sales with the ability to upsell products and services.
• Familiarity with color theory for hair coloring applications.
• Strong mentoring skills to guide less experienced staff members.
• Ability to maintain sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Experience with eyelash extensions is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.41 - $31.81 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
