Welder
Barber Marina, a full-service marina and boatyard located on Alabama’s northern shore of the Intracoastal Waterway between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is seeking a full-time Welder.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience
Responsibilities
- To possess a basic understanding of how to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, or schematics to identify the required welding process.
- Be able to weld mig and tig.
- Set up and operate portable machining tools or equipment.
- Strict adherence to safety, quality standards, good housekeeping habits, high level of critical thinking/reading comprehension.
- Must be able to understand and perform the basic set up, alignment, and operation of various portable tools and hand tools used in the trade as well as the ability to use most precision measuring instruments.
- Must have the ability to interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School/GED with vocational courses or technical school course or equivalent preferred but not necessary.
- Experience in marine settings helpful.
Will consider any highly motivated candidate. Pay range $20.00 to $50.00 hourly depending on experience.
