Position Description

The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for managing and processing customer orders efficiently, collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment. This role demands high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in handling inventory and order management systems. The Order Processing Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers, sales, and internal teams, ensuring a seamless order experience.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Input Bardstown Bourbon Company (BBC) and customer orders into the system with precision, ensuring all order details are accurate and complete.
• Serve as the point of contact for the Sales Team and customers, addressing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings. Clarify order details, provide timely updates, and resolve any customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders and customer interactions.
• Work closely with the inventory management team to confirm product availability and manage any backorders, ensuring timely order fulfillment.
• Handle any discrepancies or issues with orders, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve problems efficiently.
• Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring all queries are addressed professionally and promptly.
• Ensure all order processing activities comply with company policies and adhere to relevant industry regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in order processing systems and related software.
• Experience in customer service or sales support is a plus.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes is beneficial.
• Customer Service - Going above and beyond what the customer expects.
• Excellent time management skills: ability to be proactive and take initiative.
• Excellent organization and coordination skills – managing priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Talk and hear.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• Long periods of standing and walking.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Able to physically navigate around the plant/production area, including repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
