We’re on the hunt for an energetic and dog-loving Customer Experience Coordinator to help bring our barktastic mission to life! As a key part of our pack, you’ll create an unforgettable experience for every two-legged and four-legged customer, help boost sales with your pawsitive attitude, handle cashier duties like a pro, and pack up online orders with love (and maybe a treat or two)!
Key Responsibilities:
Create an Unforgettable Experience:
- Be the top dog of customer service, making sure every pup and human feels like part of the Barkantile family!
- Greet dogs and their owners with enthusiasm and ensure all dogs are offered fresh water, a treat, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Curate special in-store moments for customers and their pets, including interactive product displays and engaging with customers on how products enhance their dog’s life.
- Help dog owners sniff out the perfect products, from squeaky toys to cozy home décor.
Sales and Promotion:
- Promote and encourage sales through product knowledge and customer engagement.
- Recommend items based on customer needs and create excitement around seasonal or featured products.
- Build strong paws-itive relationships with customers and ensure they leave with a smile (and a new toy for their dog, of course!).
Cashier and Checkout:
- Be the purr-fect cashier, handling transactions with speed, accuracy, and lots of doggone friendliness.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital transactions in an efficient manner.
- Ensure that each customer’s checkout experience is smooth and enjoyable, with attention to detail on receipts, packaging, and loyalty rewards.
Shipping Online Orders:
- Process and pack online orders with care and attention to detail.
- Ensure that all items are carefully wrapped and packaged to prevent damage during shipping.
- Monitor online order inventory to ensure items are in stock and assist in updating the website as needed.
Inventory Management:
- Help keep our store organized, making sure everything is bark-tastically displayed and priced accurately.
- Keep an eye on stock levels and help reorder your favorite products (because who doesn’t love a good toy restock?).
- Collaborate with the team to keep our shelves looking paw-some and ensure customers can easily sniff out what they need.
Ideal Candidate:
- A dog lover with a passion for home décor and unique pet products.
- Creative, outgoing, and able to connect with both people and dogs.
- Previous experience in retail, cashier duties, or shipping/fulfillment is a plus but not required.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable with technology, point-of-sale systems, and shipping software.
- Can keep up with the pup-paced and fun environment of our store.
