We are seeking a highly motivated Foreman/ Equipment Operator at Matthews Wall Anchor to join our team! The ideal candidate will lead and manage job site operations and have experience operating a variety of heavy equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a crew, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and performing hands-on work involving equipment operation. Your leadership and expertise will help ensure the success of our projects from start to finish.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of the crew to ensure efficient operations on job sites.
- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators and skid steers, ensuring safety and optimal functionality.
- Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and company policies at all times, reducing the risk of accidents.
- Regularly inspect the job site and equipment to guarantee compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs or report larger mechanical issues to management.
- Track and maintain records for equipment usage, work hours, materials, and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor progress, address challenges, and communicate any changes to project scope or deadlines.
- Provide training to crew members, improving their skills in equipment operation and safety.
- Ensure that necessary permits, safety documents, and other relevant paperwork are in order for each project.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that the project meets customer and regulatory expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS ON REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in construction and equipment operations.
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment (excavators and skid steers).
- Previous experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in the construction, foundation repair, or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenging site conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
- Provide any certifications, e.g., CDL, OSHA, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Compensation and Benefits:
