Accurately collecting, labeling, and preparing samples for analysis according to established protocols.
Cleaning, calibrating, and performing basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
Carrying out routine waived laboratory tests using established techniques and following safety procedures.
Accurately recording data from equipment and observations in laboratory data sheets or electronic systems.
Entering data into laboratory information systems (LIS).
Maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
Cleaning and organizing the laboratory workspace to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Adhering to all laboratory safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or accidents.
Specific Skills Required
Lab Assistant Certification through CMLA, ASPC, or AMT
