Bay Metal Works Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our team! As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating both Amada and Bystronic Press Brakes, ensuring the quality of all materials produced, and adhering to company safety practices. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision while maintaining workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the Amada and Bystronic Press Brake machines.
- Organize workflow to minimize machine downtime and increase productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to ensure precise work.
- Monitor the operation of the Press Brake, adjust CNC controls as needed, and ensure the accuracy of formed parts.
- Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality production.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Experience using a crane to safely load parts into the Press Brake.
- Strong understanding of machine operation and safety protocols.
- Prior experience with Amada or Bystronic Press Brakes is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
