What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate / Back Up Driver position at The Bay Family of Companies?
The Warehouse Associate/Back Up Driver will perform all functions pertaining to receiving and shipping which includes verifying/recording the quantity and quality of all incoming/outgoing material and all related paperwork/documentation. This position will also assist in delivering materials to job sites/customer office when necessary and keeping the warehouse clean, neat and in safe working conditions at all times. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, with the main job function being warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Pulls, stages, and loads outgoing material orders.
- Prepares materials for third party shipping (palletizing and shrink wrapping).
- Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials.
- Verifies quality and quantity of all incoming materials.
- Ensures accurate inventory by verifying material counts.
- Follows all safety policies and protocols.
- Safely deliver material to job site or customer’s office.
- Safely operate forklift.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a production or warehouse environment, preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- One-year verifiable experience driving a straight truck, required.
- Ability to pass Driver Background Check and meet DOT regulations to receive and maintain a med card, required.
- Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
