Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
📍 Location: Towson, MD (Onsite, 5 days/week)
⏳ Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Position Overview
A growing organization in Towson, MD is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to develop dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL, ETL processes, and analytics tools. This is a fully onsite role (5 days per week) with the potential for full-time conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Build and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets
- Develop and manage ETL processes for integrating data from multiple sources
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define and implement BI solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance optimization across reporting environments
- Support data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with best practices
- Troubleshoot and improve reporting performance and automation
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics
- Expertise in Power BI (dashboard and visualization creation)
- Proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Exposure to ETL tools and data pipelines helpful
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud-based BI solutions
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications but NOT required:
- Experience in data automation and advanced analytics
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis tools
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
