Delivery Driver

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to deliver newspapers to approximately 500 stops across Northern Virginia monthly. This independent contractor position requires the use of your own vehicle to transport and distribute around 31,000 newspapers each month.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up newspapers from a designated location and ensure timely delivery to all stops.
• Use the provided list of delivery stops to plan and optimize your own delivery route.
• Maintain and update the delivery list as needed to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure newspapers are delivered in good condition and placed in designated areas at each stop.
• Collect and properly dispose of wasted or undelivered copies during each delivery cycle.
• Track and promptly report any delivery issues or customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of completed deliveries.

Coverage Area:
Deliveries will be made throughout Northern Virginia, including but not limited to:

• Arlington
• Fairfax
• Alexandria
• Leesburg (western boundary)
• Manassas and Woodbridge (southern boundary)
• Surrounding cities and areas in between

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle capable of transporting large quantities of newspapers.
• Ability to lift and carry bundles of newspapers (up to 25 lbs.).
• Strong time-management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to plan and maintain an efficient delivery route.
• Flexible hours, but all deliveries must be completed within one week of publishing.

Compensation:
Compensation will be based on the scope of the route and deliveries. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
