Position Summary: The Purchasing Inventory Assistant supports the procurement and inventory management functions within the organization. This role is responsible for assisting with the acquisition of goods and services, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. The assistant will collaborate with vendors, track inventory levels, and help manage purchase orders to meet the operational needs of the company. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Primary Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and management of purchase orders and requisitions.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and resolve any issues.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the management system.
- Track order status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze inventory trends and assist in forecasting future inventory needs.
- Support the resolution of discrepancies in inventory and purchase orders.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in purchasing or inventory management is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
