The Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing work crews engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of roadways and traffic control systems. This role ensures the safe and efficient flow of traffic by planning and supervising maintenance of traffic (MOT) operations, enforcing safety protocols, and coordinating resources. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills to maintain compliance with industry standards and achieve project goals.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel throughout Ohio and surrounding areas, including extended and overnight stays, as needed for project coordination and site management.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage small work crews performing roadway and traffic control system repair and maintenance.
- Prioritize and assign tasks, providing technical guidance and support to team members.
- Monitor job sites to ensure safety, work quality, and adherence to policies and standards.
- Develop daily, monthly, and seasonal project schedules for repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate sign installations and pavement striping.
- Respond to emergencies, dispatch crews, and coordinate resources during events to ensure public safety.
- Manage employee scheduling and material usage documentation.
- Order and maintain materials and supplies inventory.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- High level of proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications for Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
- Experience in setting up and maintaining traffic zones.
- Valid certifications, including:
- ODOT WTS Certification, ATSSA.
- Traffic Control Technician (TCT) and Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS).
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
