What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician position at The Behavior Exchange, Inc.?
We are looking for talented and passionate Behavior Technicians to join our growing TBE hive!
For nearly 20 years, The Behavior Exchange, Inc. has helped children with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral issues, developmental delays, and other special needs reach their full potential. Our ABA therapists also work with teachers and parents to ensure they are using the proper ABA techniques needed to help children improve their behavior. We have centers in Frisco, TX, Prosper, TX and Plano, TX.
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a critical position to The Behavior Exchange. You will be responsible for implementing a child’s individual treatment plan and accurately recording data that our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) use to ensure children are reaching their goals. You will also ensure smooth operations of the organization, its core values and mission by being a friendly, welcoming ambassador to the organization’s clients, staff, and visitors.
What we are seeking:
- Availability: full time and part-time positions available
- Schedule: Availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Some Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m
- Conducts 1:1 and small group contact time with the child
- Engages the child with cooperation, collaboration and teamwork
- Completes all data collection, daily logs and graphing requirements for each session including objective and constructive notes
- Participates in approved parent and related professional observations and offers appropriate feedback and training
- Participates in and completes mandatory training for clinical requirements
- Attends regularly scheduled team meetings
- Ensures safety of children and own personal safety by following health & safety protocols
- Models, trains and coaches newly hired Behavior Trainers as directed by Leadership
- Assists in evaluating training needs as requested by Leadership
What you must bring:
- RBT Certification preferred (will train & help with assessment; obtain within 90 days from hire)
- In process or completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ABA or related field
- One year experience in ABA or related field preferred
- Experience in medical/behavioral/mental health/therapy related organization
