Summary
Are you a mission-driven BCBA or BCaBA ready to change lives in a school setting? The Behavior Helper is hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to join our school-based support team working with students ages 5–21 who exhibit significant behavioral and academic needs.
In this role, you'll provide leadership, develop and supervise individualized behavior intervention plans, supervise RBTs, and train staff in implementing best-practice ABA strategies. You’ll work side-by-side with passionate educators and behavior technicians to deliver compassionate, data-driven support where it matters most.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments (e.g., FBA, VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R) and write behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Develop, oversee, and revise treatment programs for students with autism and developmental disabilities
- Supervise and support Behavior Technicians and RBTs in implementation of ABA interventions
- Train team members on data collection, skill acquisition, and behavior reduction strategies
- Analyze behavior data and make timely, evidence-based program adjustments
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and IEP teams to promote consistency across settings
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and support during episodes of behavioral escalation
- Uphold ethical standards outlined in the BACB Code of Conduct and The Behavior Helper Handbook
- Participate in regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and staff trainings
- Assist with development of student materials and programming tools
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation and case notes
- Support student transitions, classroom management, and the overall school culture of safety, growth, and respect
Requirements
- Current Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges is essential.
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and techniques for behavior modification.
- Strong skills in ABA programming, data analysis, and team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and families.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in practice.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. and have the physical ability to move quickly, stand/kneel/squat for prolonged periods of time, transition from floor to standing easily, and be able to assist in moments of crisis.
Preferred:
- Experience in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with trauma-informed behavior support and positive behavior supports (PBIS)
- Excellent communication skills and writing ability

*We are willing to consider BACB practicum students, individuals who have completed the ABA coursework but did not sit for the board examination, PLBAs, Behavior Specialists, and Behavior Coaches. Compensation will be comparable to level of work experience.
