We are currently seeking a Certified Peer / Recovery Specialist to Join Our Team!
The Peer / Recovery Specialist (CRS) will provide support to Participants in recovery programs. They will provide 1 : 1 peer counseling during treatment and aftercare support for one year following completion of the program. Will be responsible (along with other team members) for establishing a therapeutic milieu that promotes the engagement of the Participants in the treatment process. The specialist is responsible for observing Participants' behavior and documenting observations. The community recovery specialist will provide telephonic, mail and home-based support to Participants. Specialists will conduct interviews within the prison and develop transition plans for Participants reentering the community.
Must be a Certified Peer or Recovery Specialist
Must have HS Diploma / GED
12 college credits in Behavioral Health / Human Services preferred
Must be computer literate and possess strong de-escalation skills.
One year experience working with Participants desired.
