Job Summary
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic evaluations of the nervous system. . The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Duties
- Conduct neurodiagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, and Computerized Cognitive testing.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout diagnostic evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and develop patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
- Stay updated on advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques to provide the highest level of care.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology relevant to neurodiagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess neurological conditions.
- Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs effectively.
- Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques specific to neurodiagnostics.
- Familiarity with working in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers is preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
