Overview
We are seeking a Low Voltage Electrical Designer for assignment in San Jose, California. The selected candidate will work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities and other state of the art manufacturing and research facilities.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities
- Perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems
- Design fire alarm detection systems, HPM leak detection, toxic gas management systems and security and intrusion detection systems
- Act as front-line representation to the client and construction staff, providing professional design verification of the contractor’s scope of work
- Providing / attending daily progress meetings, official written and verbal communication and coordination of all LSS onsite documentation
- Perform calculations
- Apply NFPA and ICC codes and other standards to model content
- Specify equipment at the direction of the engineering staff
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 - 5 years AutoCAD experience (Revit preferred)
- A NICET Level III certification
- Systems Design experience with fire alarms, fire protection, voice evacuation, gas detection, VESDA, access control and CCTV
