Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Integrity Inspector to join our team in Carlsbad, NM. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing equipment inspections, evaluating inspection results, and providing QA/QC for new projects and maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Evaluate inspection results and develop recommendations for run, repair, or replace actions.
• Collaborate with Client MI Inspector and Inspection Leader to monitor inspection findings and recommendations.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control services for new projects and maintenance repairs in the Permian production area.
• Conduct pre-commissioning inspections of new and reconditioned vessels and tanks to confirm internal coating and assembly quality.
• Work closely with MI/Corrosion engineers to identify active and potential corrosion mechanisms and their mitigation, control, and monitoring requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is preferred.
• Experience executing project construction or quality assurance/control of procurement or construction activities.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a project Quality Management supervisory role.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or construction experience related to project scope.
• Recent experience in selected inspection discipline.
• Ability to travel domestically and overseas for business purposes.
• Proficiency in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
