We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Fabrication and Assembly team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching Production Leadership, as well as his/her employees working in the specific area of responsibility. You will collaboratee with Project Managers and other departments to ensure that client and TBG creative ideas are turned into tangible works within the clients’ budgets and timelines. This role is responsible for ensuring the work is of the highest quality commiserate of TBG’s standards and is also responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing workflows for optimization, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of his/her team. This is a key management role, and the individual will manage all aspects of management such as hiring, ensuring proper training, inspiring a passion for excellence within his or her team, firing, or completing performance reviews.
Shift available: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:
- a Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
- a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably plastics fabrication
In this position, you will:
- motivate, mentor, coach, manage and train employees for professional development, employee engagement, and the creation of a safe and inclusive environment.
- maintain thorough understanding of all assigned projects and/or accounts and their timelines, scopes, and resourcing needs.
- evaluate production requirements of assigned projects, including business requirements and material or technical specifications.
- plan production strategies and time tables and prioritize, analyze, and implement more efficient and effective work flows with the goal of optimizing the work output of the team with quality as a focus.
- act as a liaison with other internal departments within TBG to ensure clients’ needs are being met in accordance within project scope, budget, and timelines. Ensure assembly integrity through continuous monitoring of departmental processes
- anticipate production needs and problems and bring up concerns immediately to direct supervisor so any remediation necessary can be quickly implemented.
- circulate production details and produced elements for internal review in keeping with production timelines establishing open lines of communication within the production floor.
- maintain expertise with new technology, trends, prices, production techniques, and suppliers.
- support a safe environment, driving towards 0 OSHA recordables.
- represent corporate policy and communicate to employees as required
- work to further develop skills and knowledge of team members
- drive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery Interact with other support departments as required
- perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by others in management.
