Bar Hostess / Host

Description of Duties:

• Welcomes guests with a warm and engaging demeanor, setting the tone for the venue.
• Manages incoming telephone calls, reservations, and waitlist while maintaining the reservation book.
• Oversees guest flow by coordinating seating arrangements to ensure a smooth and balanced rotation in the bar area.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the bar menu, including craft cocktails, small bites, and daily specials, and is able to provide tailored recommendations to guests.
• Familiar with all table numbers, bar stations, and the floor plan for efficient guest management.
• Anticipates and responds to guest inquiries, special requests, and needs, communicating effectively with bartenders and management.
• Maintains open and professional communication with the management team and fellow staff members to ensure a seamless operation.
• Performs opening, running, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring the venue maintains its ambiance and cleanliness.
• Assists bartenders and servers with bussing tables, refilling water, and delivering drinks or food as needed.
• Manages cashier duties, including processing guest bills accurately and efficiently.
• Performs all other tasks as needed to create an exceptional experience.

Work Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of prior experience in a hostess/host role, preferably in a casino high-end bar.
• Ability to obtain any required occupational licenses or certifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations.
• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and personable, with a flair for creating memorable experiences.
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Experience in a casino, private club, or similar nightlife environment is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and move around for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
