What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at The Big Salad?
This is a paid part-time position! Currently, The Big Salad is looking for a content creator to support our marketing initiatives. The content creator will be responsible for developing high-quality copy for websites, social media, marketing materials, and other platforms. To do so, they will learn all about and make significant contributions to The Big Salads’ branding and style guide to efficiently maximize the impact of content they generate. They will understand the successes and challenges of content from our market competitors and will share their learnings with coworkers.
Responsibilities:
- Creating visual content (videos, photos, graphics etc.)
- this will include visiting stores to capture content that will be used across social media channels
- Keeping up with and understanding social platforms
- Staying on top of trends and trending content
- Story telling
- Collaborating with the Big Salad team
Skills and Qualifications:
- Outstanding copywriting, social media, or video production skills
- Ability to work effectively without oversight
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Superb organizational and time-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current student attending a university for marketing, communications, journalism or other business related field
- Experience creating high-quality marketing content
- Capable of managing multiple competing priorities
- In-depth knowledge of Canva
- Comprehensive understanding of impactful marketing tactics
This role will report directly to the Marketing Director and Operations Assistant. This is a paid position with part time work around 8-10 hours per week- with the possibility of extension into a more permanent role post graduation (if applicable).
