Your Role as a Fleet Manager
Duties
As our Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient operations, maintenance, and compliance with regulations. Your key duties will include:
- Vehicle Procurement and Maintenance: Purchase vehicles to expand the fleet, schedule regular maintenance, order urgent repairs as needed, and maintain registration and insurance requirements.
- Driver Management: Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to safe driving practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training (MyCOI).
- Budget Management: Manage the budget for vehicle repairs and replacements.
- Reporting: Provide reports to management on budgeting, maintenance, and fleet progress.
- Safety: Develop methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
To Succeed In This Role, You Should Have
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance.
