The Black Dog Tavern Company LLC is seeking a Front of House Restaurant Supervisor, primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations and staff of the restaurant as well as ensuring a high-quality experience for all customers.
Front of House Restaurant Supervisor Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred in hospitality or restaurant management
- 3 – 5 years’ prior management experience in high volume, quick-service or a la carte restaurant environment
- Actively support a culture of safety which includes food safety, team member safety and customer safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests and employees at all levels
- Proficiency with POS systems
- Possess or obtain SERV Safe Food Manager, Alcohol certification, MA Allergen Awareness Certification, and TIPS Certification
- Working knowledge of all equipment, maintenance and operation including liquor and soda dispensing equipment, and beer systems

Front of House Restaurant Supervisor Job Responsibilities
- Supervision of all staff; train new team members
- Conduct pre-shift meetings; create station assignments and break schedules
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any customer complaints in a diplomatic and courteous manner
- Evaluate equipment and stock levels; take appropriate actions to ensure all areas are in working order
- Follow and ensure team member compliance with all health, safety, food handling and hygiene standards
