Description
This position is responsible for providing exceptional Guest service by quickly responding to the Guests needs. The Guests may require knowledge of how to play a game; they will need assistance when they have won a jackpot or if the gaming machine they are playing has quit working properly. This position also ensures that the gaming machines are in good working order. Shall perform all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities.
- Shall anticipate the Guests needs by continually searching for lights and/or customer in need of service.
- Will understand how to play all electronic games and explain when a Guest inquires
- Follows casino guidelines in logging in, using and returning secure machine keys.
- Clears paper jams, reboots games, changes printer ink and prints out jackpot tickets.
- Cleans the interior of games and performs other in-house maintenance procedures.
- Accesses machine game history, computer servers and prints game reports.
- Understands and describes mechanical problems to vendors and completes vendors and maintenance logs.
- Ensures and continually checks to insure all games are locked and in working order.
- Identifies and reports to the Manager on Duty (MOD), any floor or gaming irregularities such as a Guest’s or Team Member’s attempt to damage gaming equipment or a gaming machine is out of order.
- Helps create an environment of entertainment, excitement and fun when interacting with our Guests and fellow team members.
- Learns and maintains a good working knowledge of all aspects of casino operations and current casino promotions.
- Shall act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the entertainment culture.
- Shall maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the gaming machines operating to standard and to set a positive example for other co-team members.
- Anticipates the departments needs by constantly evaluating the environment and team members for cues. Communicates pertinent information to the manager/supervisor or MOD.
- Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale and performance and communicating to the manager/supervisor and/or Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Delivers remarkable Guest Service to all customers and team members using a great attitude and interactive personal skills.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Assists with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn how to troubleshoot and/or identify mechanical problems with games.
- Ability to learn how to operate and perform limited repair on electronic games.
- Ability to use a computer and associated software.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to read English, understand and retain the information given regarding written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries such as on-going promotions from fellow team members, supervisors and Guests.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to deal with problems involving, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.
- Ability to see problems and avoid situations that could be deemed to be illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow team members or Guests.
