Join our growing team! The Black Twig Diner is a chef and family-owned restaurant with a focus on Virginia grown ingredients. Serving lunch, dinner, weekend brunch with robust drink menu, we are seeking hospitality-driven individuals to join our team. Part-time to start with special event shifts. Located at the base of the Shenandoah mountains with outdoor patio, full-service bar. The right candidate is friendly, upbeat, and hospitality oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Provides a pleasant drinking experience to customers.
- Serves food and drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area or server area, depending on the hired role.
- Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.
- Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
- Ensures smooth operation of bar services and positive guest experiences
- Daily side work and set-up of service areas
- Proper cash handling procedures and ticket management
Bartender Qualifications/Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill serving
- Adaptability

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation
- Current beverage service certification or Virginia ABC training
- Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
- Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
