Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall efficiency of our food service operations, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or by hand as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by cooks or chefs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
- Support catering events by ensuring that all necessary items are clean and ready for service.
- Buss tables in dining areas to ensure a clean environment for guests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours in restaurants or banquet settings.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Willingness to assist with various tasks as needed within the kitchen or catering operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
