What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Blind Goat?
Hello! We are currently looking for professional, enthusiastic, and organized bartenders to join our team at the new Blind Goat located in the Spring Branch area. We pride ourselves in having a high level of customer service standards with a large emphasis on knowledge of spirits, wine, sake, beer, and craft cocktails. 2 years of experience behind the bar, especially dealing with craft cocktails, is preferred, but not absolutely necessary based on candidates’ experience within the service industry.
Common responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of house AND classic cocktails and mocktails
- Preparation of house made ingredients for the bar, such as; syrups, bitters, tinctures, shrubs, infusions, etc
- Participating in the development of new bar menu items
- Ability to consistently absorb and retain knowledge of anything relating to our establishment (don’t worry, we give you the tools)
- Ability to maintain a cool and collected attitude in a fast paced environment
- Ability to consistently communicate proper and true information about what we serve with guests and coworkers alike
- Organizational skills with pride in taking care of and respecting your environment (the bar and the restaurant alike)
- Ability to stay guest focused and nurture an excellent experience across the board
- TABC and Texas Food Handler’s certifications
