Marketing/Programming Lead
Job Responsibilities:
General (10%)
- Attend and actively participate in both in-person and virtual meetings, contributing valuable insights and ensuring alignment with team objectives
- Utilize Basecamp to manage and complete all tasks on time, ensuring smooth project collaboration and communication across teams
- Organize and maintain a well-structured library of photos and videos, including clear naming conventions and categorization for easy access and use.
- Edit and provide high-quality photo and video content for marketing, advertising, and other promotional purposes, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
Social Media & Online Reputation (35%)
- Conceptualize, capture, edit, and publish engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, including posts, stories, and reels that align with brand voice and drive audience engagement
- Analyze social media performance metrics monthly, providing detailed reports and actionable insights for ongoing optimization of content and strategy
- Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to drive awareness, engagement, and growth, ensuring alignment with brand values and marketing goals
- Monitor & respond to reviews, messages and comments on social media and local listings platforms (Google, Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc.) in conjunction with General Manager
Programming (35%)
- Develop and implement creative, community-driven events/promotions that drive traffic to the property including but not limited to live music, concerts, classic movie nights/series, sporting events, etc.
- Collaborate with local vendors, organizers and businesses, when applicable
- Analyze performance and customer feedback to continuously improve offerings
Grassroots Marketing (15%)
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to create cross-promotional opportunities and drive community engagement.
- Coordinate on-site and off-site activations, including pop-ups, street teams, and community events, to increase brand visibility and foot traffic.
- Leverage community partnerships and local sponsorships to enhance brand presence and foster goodwill within the community
- Coordinate with local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, CVB (Visit Jackson), and Fondren Renaissance, to leverage their networks and promote The Block’s events, promotions, and community initiatives.
Onsite Collateral/Marketing (5%)
- Oversee the print production and placement of all onsite marketing materials, including signage, menus, digital displays, and event promotions to ensure consistent brand messaging.
Hours: Based upon business levels and determined by Management including The Block and Trifecta. Estimate ~40 hours/week
Location: Hybrid work is permitted, but onsite presence is required for key meetings, events, and tasks. A commitment to specific work hours is also required to ensure timely execution of responsibilities and alignment with team objectives.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
