Position Overview
The Human Resources Staffing Specialist screens and interviews candidates, complying with organization policy and government regulatory guidelines at all business locations. This role works with managers, helping to identify job requirements and create interview guides to assist in talent acquisitions. The position provides assistance with the human resource process primarily within the function of talent acquisition. The Human Resources Staffing Specialist is a hands-on position reporting to the Staffing Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Assists in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruitment support for all open positions including pre-screening applicants and updating, maintaining, and managing candidate data in applicant tracking system
Determines applicant suitability by reviewing resumes, personality profiles, and overall qualifications relating to applied jobs
Conduct phone interviews and coordinate and schedule on-site interviews
Tracks status of candidates in HRIS, keeps candidates up to date regarding next steps, and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruitment process
Other duties as assigned or required
Handles confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 1 to 3 years’ experience
Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Strong computer skills including intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters
