Position Overview
The Collections Staff Scheduler prepares departmental staff schedules including adjustments post staff schedule release. This position assists with various record review; takes staff call duties as required; assigns resources to drives including staff and assets; assists in assessing blood drive efficiency by calculating the BDER metric for each drive (Collected Units/Staff Productive Hours); and assists in forecasting staff attribute needs and training availability.

Essential Functions
- Prepares departmental staff schedules using HemaCollect
- Schedules staff hours to accurately schedule and avoid overtime
- Submits prepared schedule to appropriate Management for approval
- Promptly communicates staff attendance issues to appropriate Management
- Enters and communicates post schedule release changes to staff
- Monitors departmental PTO requests
- Schedules vehicles and drivers for the blood drives utilizing HemaCollect
- Prepares blood drive trip sheets and if required, other information needed for a successful drive
- Reviews daily Mobile Collections QC records
- Takes on call schedule duties as required
- Other duties as assigned or required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Job related experience is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
- Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills including intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
