Our Investment Banking client is seeking a talented Operations Analyst specializing in Safekeeping and Settlements . This role supports essential financial operations, ensuring smooth trade clearing, payment processing, reconciliation, and settlement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily clearing of fixed-income trades for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Process principal and interest (P&I) payments, investigating and reconciling differences between custodians and internal records.
- Monitor settlement activities and oversee funding transactions for both internal and correspondent banks.
- Partner with the Investment Portfolio Accounting team to :
- Deliver timely and accurate bond accounting reports.
- Serve as an operational liaison for securities and cash collateral management.
- Provide operational support for Federal Funds transactions.
- Develop expertise across multiple focus areas to handle routine and complex transactions efficiently.
- Respond to internal business partner and customer inquiries, audit requests, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
- Document and update procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Prepare reconciliation reports, analyze discrepancies, and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure audit trails are maintained for all tasks and follow SOX control requirements.
