Food Server
JOB DESCRIPTION
Providing an exceptional Guest dining experience is the primary duty of the Lane / Restaurant Server. This is accomplished through a customized service style and suggestive selling. Taking orders for drinks and food in the bowling lane / dining area, processing Guest orders in a quick and efficient manner, following correct and accurate payment procedures are all done with an outgoing smile and a sense of helping Guests in a personable, positive manner.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Creates an exceptional experience for the Guest in the dining room. Has fun with them and establishes a “regular Guest” rapport
2. Make suggestions for drink and food, using salespersonship to increase check averages
3. Ensures that all food and beverages are in keeping with our standards of quality and freshness
4. Prepares tables/lanes for new Guests
5. Works the bowling area, and constantly interacts with the Guests
6. Is responsible for the general cleanliness of the food service area, including, but not limited to, using a pan and broom to clean debris and cleaning drinks and food spills
7. Has a thorough working knowledge of the P.O.S. system
8. Handles money and make change in a quick and accurate manner
9. Has the ability to follow service guidelines in highly distracting circumstances
10. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the food, beverage and bar menus
11. Has the ability to handle Guest dissatisfaction using empowerment and answer Guest questions
12. Has above average concern for cleanliness and hygiene - both personal and professional
13. Is proactive in offering assistance to Guests who need it, and remain with the Guest until the problem is resolved
14. Always give exceptional service to our Guests
MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES
· Assisting the Cocktail Servers whenever possible and/or necessary.
· Providing information for all Guests as requested.
· Sweeping the floors and emptying trash from the Dining room area.
· Keeping the floor area wiped clean of water spills and safe for working.
· Wiping chairs thoroughly of food and beverage debris.
· Thoroughly cleaning the tables in the Dining room, both top and bases.
· Dusting the ledges, shelves and walls in the venue.
· Refilling the soda fountain ice bin continually throughout the shift.
· Stocking supplies: coffee, napkins, silverware, etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
