What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Facilities Manager position at The Boar's Head Resort?
Oversee daily engineering department operations and all efforts to protect the properties assets, colleagues and guests at all times ensuring optimum facility performance. Provide technical and administrative assistance to Facilities Manager. Help in daily supervision of the Grounds, LP Department and Aquatics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist the Facilities Manager in the issuance of purchase orders
- Review work orders and assignments thru the GEMS program
- Work with the engineering staff on a shift basis to help coordinate activities
- Assist in the upkeep of the preventive maintenance program
- Assumes full responsibility of the engineering staff in the Managers absence
- Have a thorough understanding of the Loss Prevention Department and all emergency procedures.
- Responsible for helping prepare and controlling the annual engineering budget and assist in the preparation of the Capital Budget plan
- Responsible for the Energy Management programs and monitoring utility costs
- Assist in the communication with department leaders for contractors and trades that are carrying out work on the physical property and equipment.
- Assuring prompt response to maintenance requests to our guests, members and internal guests.
- Assist in monitoring payroll, performance appraisals, reviews and training to all engineering colleagues.
- Responsible for assuring all aquatics are up to code and running efficiently.
- Assist in the operation and oversight of the Chiller Plant and Boiler facilities
- Requires a "hands-on" leadership approach with all colleagues
- Assist in maintaining accurate equipment logs, PM logs and daily activity logs
- Be available for emergency calls
- Be able to maintain and repair cooling systems, chemical treatments, water systems, refrigeration and compressors
