What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Operations Manager (Sports Club) position at The Boar's Head Resort?
Provide the tools, resources, and leadership required for successful Sports Club operations; train and manage our team members to exceed Member/Guest expectations through professional, personalized service. Primary focus includes performing duties that support Sports Club Operations, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Member Services, Court Maintenance, and Membership departments. Maintain best business practices while providing excellent customer service.
Weekend and evening work is required.
Some essential job functions include:
- Assist the Operations Manager and/or Director of Sports and Wellness in conducting Front Desk operations in accordance with The Boar's Head Vision, Values, and Mission statements and apply the Forbes Travel Guide Standards and AAA 4-Diamond Service Expectations throughout guest interactions.
- Interview, train, and support Facility/Public Space, Court Maintenance and Front Desk staff while modeling enthusiastic personalized service.
- Attend management staff meetings and ensure pertinent information from meetings is shared with direct reports/team members.
- Facility and public space management- ensure cleanliness of all public space areas and locker rooms, and ensure all deficiencies are reported to Engineering.
- Conduct ordering and maintaining inventories of housekeeping, office and pro shop supplies. Order and organize supplies on a weekly basis.
- Work with third party/vendors to complete facility cleaning/improvements.
- Complete regular inventory of towels while monitoring laundry expenses.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work space at the Front Desk and assist with court maintenance as necessary.
- Oversee the lost and found, day locker, tennis court reservation system, departmental registrations and other member services.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed appropriately.
- Practice proficiency on club management software programs (KEYPR, Adaco, Club Automation, and ADP).
- Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
