What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at The Boar's Head Resort?
We are seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen staff at the Boar's Head Resort! As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines, and stacking washed items appropriately. Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Scrape and spray food from dirty dishes, and place them in racks (do not overload) push into dishwashing machine.
- Spray out soup bowls and rack.
- Load full glass, cup, and mug racks into machine.
- Scrub inside and outside of all pots and pans, then run through the machine.
- Empty all trash cans.
- Hose-out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Notify supervisors of any loss or breakage.
- Return dishes, pans, etc. to proper storage areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the loading dock.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
In order to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- Ability to communicate orally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to work 5-7 days per week in rotational shifts, if needed, including holidays and weekends.
